Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the SRIYA Motherhood Companion app ("SRIYA", "the App"). SRIYA is developed and operated by W K B M P Fernando (Sri Lanka) ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who Can Use SRIYA

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal adulthood where you live, if that is higher) to create an account and use the App. Chat with Mothers is also only for adults aged 18 or older.

If you are under 18 and pregnant, please talk to a doctor, midwife, nurse or another trusted adult. They can give you the care and support you need.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity on your account.
• Please give accurate information when you create your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from Profile & Settings, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

3. Health Tracking and AI Answers

• Trackers, charts, reminders, meal plans and baby size information are general tools to help you organise your pregnancy journey. They may not suit your personal medical situation.
• Answers from the "Ask a Question" (AI Daily Advice) and AI Q&A features are generated by artificial intelligence. They can be incomplete or wrong and must not be relied on instead of professional medical advice.
• Reminders depend on your phone's settings and may not always arrive on time. Do not rely on SRIYA alone for important medication or appointment reminders.
• The emergency alert prepares a message to your starred contacts in your phone's Messages app (or another app you choose). The message is only sent when you press Send, and delivery depends on your phone, network and credit. Always call your local emergency services directly when you need urgent help.

4. Plans and Payments

• SRIYA offers a free plan and optional Paid and Premium plans, available as monthly, annual or lifetime options.
• All purchases are made through Google Play and are processed under Google Play's own terms and privacy policy.
• Monthly and annual plans are subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and then your account returns to the free plan. Your saved data is kept.
• Where a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Lifetime plans are one-time purchases that do not renew.
• Refund requests are handled according to Google Play's refund policy. Apart from that, purchases are not refundable, except where a refund is required by the law that applies to you.
• Promo codes are for personal use only and may not be shared, resold or used more than once.

5. Chat with Mothers

When you use Chat with Mothers, please be kind and respectful. You must not:

• send abusive, threatening, hateful, sexual or illegal content;
• harass other users, or share another person's private information;
• advertise, spam, or pretend to be someone else;
• give other users medical instructions as if you were a healthcare professional;
• share, request or promote any content that sexualises or exploits children.

Child safety: SRIYA has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Any such content is removed, the account responsible is closed, and we report it to the relevant authorities. Read our Child Safety Standards.

You can remove and report users, report individual messages, and report AI answers inside the App. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Other users' messages are their own views, not ours.

6. Your Content

You own the information, photos, music and messages you add to SRIYA. You allow us to store and process them only to run the App for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Only upload photos and music that you have the right to use, and only add another person's name, phone number or photo (for example in My Contacts) with that person's knowledge.

7. Availability and Changes

We work to keep SRIYA running smoothly, but we cannot promise the App will always be available, error-free, or that every feature will stay the same. We may update, change or remove features to improve the App.

8. Limitation of Responsibility

SRIYA is provided "as is". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for any loss or harm that results from relying on information in the App, from missed reminders, from emergency or other messages that are not sent or not delivered, from other users' messages, or from service interruptions or data loss. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending Your Use

You may stop using SRIYA and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without affecting any consumer protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make important changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using SRIYA after changes, you accept the updated Terms.

12. The Name SRIYA and Its Dedication

SRIYA is named after, and lovingly dedicated to, the founder's foster mother. The name "SRIYA" and this dedication are a permanent part of the App.

It is the wish of the founder, W K B M P Fernando, that the name SRIYA and its dedication are never changed or removed by any future owner, and that the App carries them for as long as it exists.

The name SRIYA™, the App's design and its content belong to its owner. They may not be copied or used for any other app, product or service without written permission.
